Short stories and advice. Where did you hear it? What is the source of that information.
1.Dinner party, got a following, so I say there are three levels of communication. I had read and tried to make sense of R. D. Lange in an earlier life and once imagined these levels while reading how Lange imagined levels of communication.
“I talk to you, you understand me” I say. “Simple, direct, information, commands, observation, guidance.”
“Second level is you understand me. It is not as simple as it sounds, not only did you hear the information but you internalized it, you got me. The look in your eyes, your gestures and words make it clear that you got it, and it has been communicated.”
Pause. “So what is the third level?”
2.Blonde yells to her friend: “Hey! How do you get to the other side of the river?” “Silly, you ARE on the other side of the river.”
3. Smoking cannabis is very much like taking a trip. Here we are now in Torrington, a small town. What should we do now that we are here, in Torrington, on a trip? Should we buy some ice cream? Go to a park? It is like travel and finding new things to do from a fresh perspective while you are in your own town. Now that we are here let’s hang out on this street corner, to people, watch people. It like making the town a new place.
4. How one deals with the world depends upon how many layers of understanding one can face. Like peeling an onion, take off a layer…What was the cause and brought the necessity of and the effect of that layer?
5. If I viewed each event in my life as I view them when on cannabis they are new and exciting, I see myself doing what I am doing while watching others watching me, while watching them. But I am the director. I say which thoughts to follow and which to abandon.
6. When you ask the question you have reached the third level of communication. I speak to you, you understand, and we both understand that something together.
